Drifting Through Voids is the debut album progressive metal act Polaris Experience. Clocking in almost an hour, it is an extended journey concept album, depicturing the inner self travel and separation from mundane world and mundane self towards calling horizons and far beyond. Even being centered around metal and thrash metal genre, it offers a much more wide range of progressive and experimental pieces, adding to mixture notes of jazz-fusion, prog-rock and prog-death metal here and there. This is diffidently an experience, and ones who find this fit to their ears might have it in the playlist for a long time and get back again. Awesome guest participants as Mohini Dey and Joel Sempete add a unique and elegant flavor with amazing musicianship.
With influences can be heard through album the from Vektor to Cynic, from early Genesis to Brand X and Death, this is a beautiful outsider of a trend, an independent lost ship on sci-fi themed odyssey, silently drifting through our mind voids.Â
