With a debut album Imaginery Explorer newly formed project shows the usage of the full palette of colors and inspirations in their work. With potential to be somewhat inspired by Vektor and other sci-fi progressive metal acts, Callisto 5 expands the range beyond any limits, showcase more fast pace thrash songs as "Telescopes" to more soft sci-fi 70's vintage atmospheric ballad "Contradictory Mistakes", taking turn to Pink Floyd sort of sound, and even stretching that direction in amazing instrumental piece "Meteor", shining every shade from progressive heavy metal and thrash to almost a-la disco part in the vein of Camel's immortal Breathless.
The uncommon production gives it more robotic yet vintage vibe, yet all instruments are mixed and audible. Even though each track has its real character and leave you craving more to continue of the same route, one of the highlights on the album could be easily the title track - "Imaginary Explorer" shows complex arrangement and time signatures, as well as touch of progressive death metal works of early 90's.

Lyrics are taking us on a journey of different topics, with the only common message could be found - inspiring to explore the world beyond our mind, extend our dreams and brings the stories far in the outer space, feeling so close as you open the old book of old sci-fi stories collection. This is a great piece of passion to a sci-fi genre, which really feels like a step out of line, in the march of trend in this style niche.
